James is from Greenville and a proud resident of beautiful downtown Fountain Inn. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Furman University in 2003 and obtained his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2006. He is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, and is a proud member of Wealth Counsel, Elder Counsel, and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
James concentrates primarily on matters involving trust-based estate planning, asset protection, as well as business formation and succession planning. Further, he has prepared nearly 1,000 NFA/”Gun” trusts for his fellow firearms enthusiasts.
James will tell you that his greatest worldly achievement was marrying his dear wife, Kate. He and Kate are animal lovers and share their home with their 100-pound lapdog, Ashton, and their peach-colored tabby cat, Sebastian.
Betsy is also a Greenville native and a proud resident of Fountain Inn. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Furman University in 2003 and her law degree from the University of Georgia in 2006. Betsy is licensed to practice law in both South Carolina and Georgia. She is a co-chair of the South Carolina Bar Families Forever Committee.
She assists clients with probate administration, guardianships, conservatorships, and trust settlement. Further, Betsy is passionate about creating “forever families” through adoption. You can learn more about her adoption practice through our adoption website.
Betsy is mom to Luke, 5, and Eli, 3. Her husband, Walt, pastors Capstone Church in Fountain Inn, where orphan care is a major focus of outreach. In addition, Betsy is Chairman of the Board of Directors for a non-profit orphanage in Haiti under the auspices of Haiti Gospel Fund.
